Looks like a great time. I love going out to the Channel Islands.

Get yourself a monitor calibrator, like the Xrite i1 Display Pro. Your images deserve it!

Thanks! The camera is in a housing with a dome on the front. These shots were taken with the dome partway in the water. Each is a single exposure. I just stuck the housing in the water and shot a...

Thanks for the comments, Harry!

She's lucky to have you as an instructor. And she obviously has some talent!

Really nice. I might darken the shadow a touch, which could add some mystery to the shot. But it's really sweet as is, too!

Really nice, and I like the conversion a lot. Have you thought about cropping the top a tad?

Hey, all!
I'm not much of a wildlife shooter, but thought I'd post a couple of shots I got last week in the Bahamas with my new underwater housing. This was my first venture into shooting...

This is the kind of issue I was seeing and why the variables are a non-starter for me. http://photo.net/filters-bags-tripods-accessories-forum/00aItm
For still photography I would never consider...

I don't know about video and nd filters. The Lee has a color shift, too, and yes, when shooting RAW an overall and consistent cast is easy to fix.
|

What I was seeing over 6 stops wasn't a minor color cast, it was horrible and inconsistent across the frame. Not fixable. It was color and contrast that was varying in a way that rendered the shot...

Excellent explanation, Ziggy! :clap

Most likely not. It's more about if you're going to spend money, at least think of something that has other features you may find useful. If they're not useful to you now or in the future, then don't...

Most likely way out of your price range, but just throwing this out there as a rock-solid and more capable solution that may prove more useful to you in the long run, or just as likely turn out to be...

I didn't say too heavy. Just a tad heavy. :davidto Fine for shorter hikes. If you're counting ounces on longer hikes, this wouldn't be the pack. Although it's intended for alpine hiking, and with...

Oh, yeah!
I got it (a few weeks ago), I like it a lot.
Nit: it's a tad on the heavy side. (The pack and the inserts). You can get the inserts alone, so not an issue if you do that, I don't...
