Stupid camera question...which of these is best for the price?
I've been debating for the last couple weeks as to which new camera to get. I can get any of these refurbished on the cheap with a lens.
[*]Nikon D3100 - $450[*]Nikon D5000 - $450[*]Canon 500D - $360( no lens)

All of them look great for the price. I usually only use ISO 3200 or 1600 at the highest. The ergonomics feel great on all of them. The 12mp to 15mp are all an upgrade from my 10mp sensor from my previous camera. I watched and read many reviews and yet I still can't make up my mind. What do you guys/gals think? What would you pick and why?

I was really happy with my D3100 when I first had it. It was my first dslr and only recently upgraded. 99% of the shots on my site are with the D3100. I have no experience with the others so cannot comment really. The 3100 did alright for my taste in low light with my 35 1.8, but I'm sure there are better performers out there. I have been able to get solid looking prints of 20x30 with a d3100 picture, but I did use Perfect Resize to do it. 8x10's, 10x16's are no problem what-so-ever (family has printed a few of these sizes.)

I prefer Canon but all of them will work fine, instead of the 500D I would get the newer 550D

Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up ordering the T2i. I offset the price difference by getting it on
Flex pay from QVC, its about 30 bucks more than B&H, but still 5 payments and no interest or fees!
