When we came across this guy, he was on a log in the middle of the water. Of course, I had the wide lens on and high-speed shutter off. I switched as fast as I could, fired off 3 shots, and my card was full. This was the first of the 3, and worked out best.

There's a few things I wish were different about it, but I'm pretty happy to come away from this opportunity with any shot at all. :)
