Beautiful colors in the water, like mother of peal opalescence. You got the exposure just right to keep that textured effect in the water, too. Love it. Nice of that seagull to add an extra point of interest!

I agree that the water is the real star in this shot. Doesn't look like there is too much to work with in the sky--this is often true on the California coast--but my is there some richness in that water! You've pulled it out wonderfully without being over the top. Highlights are intact, as are the quartertones and below; not easy to do with water!
