I can't say for sure if that works or not, I pretty much just choose the directory & photos highlighting the ones that I want to upload and then use the upload button. If I have a bunch and don't want all of them I just make temp directory and upload from there, maybe a couple of extra steps but it all works that way.

Others maybe able to give you a better answer.

Fotoxx
While looking for something else I ran across a program called Fotoxx and it caught my eye so I Googled it and discovered that it is photo editing software and can also so Raw files. I installed and to take a look at it after reading a couple of reviews. So far it shows promise. It will do hdr and panoramas

Is anyone having issues with the KIPI uploader plugin for digiKam?

For the past few weeks, uploads have been randomly failing with either incomplete file errors, or "Invalid user/nick" errors despite the username and password being correct (after all, photos upload sometimes...) It seems to happen more often with large files than small ones.

I'm running kipi-plugins 1.2.0 with digiKam 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 10.04. I haven't been able to find any documentation on the SmugMug plugin so far yet at all.

Only occasionally
I was having that problem occasionally, as you figured out, it only happened to me when my files were larger than my Smugmug account allows, if I reduce the file size first, I don't have any upload problems. I'm not sure why it gives the random error message that doesn't seem to correlate with the actual problem.

Other than that, the integration of the Smugmug uploader and Digikam is great, I love Digikam.

If you would take the same approach to Flash, most of the problems would go away.

Now, for some reason, I can't create a gallery in Debian. Chrome and Iceweasel give the same problem; I can fill out the boxes on the add gallery screen, but clicking the "save" button does nothing.

EDIT TO ADD: Apparently, after several tries, it did finally create the gallery, but never told me it was doing anything; it just eventually said "this nicename is already taken."

Now, how about a warning on olde faithful that changing the "how many photos to add at once" dialog will clear all the existing files?

Opera 10.7
Anyone have problems uploading photos using Opera 10.7, had the same issue with 10.5 using the simple uploader it starts to load the java applet and then all I have is a white screen with no buttons. It works fine using Firefox. I use PCLinusOS 2010

Updated:
When starting the uploader I was getting a message about a certificate from an unknown system, according to the wording you would press No to continue ignoring the the warning. So this is what I have been doing and as I recall No is what I answered in Firefox. Just for grins I started it and when I got the message I answered Yes, then it worked fine.
