Great stuff! This theme brings out the best, doesn't it? There's real emotion, well captured and participants showing us pieces of who they are! This was a fun round to join and to observe.

Well said, gentleman....seems like every picture in this group reflects a bright bit of emotion from the photographer. Picking 10 will be both a delight and a challenge of its own.

Thanks everybody, and congrats to the others in the top 5. This shot took me 3 attempts on 3 different days. I was a lot happier with the looks of the fire in the first shots, but this was the best overall. Winston was a great model. He did, for some reason, tend to lean forward quite a bit after I put the rose in his mouth and I kept having to give a throwing motion directly over his head so he would sit up straighter. By the third day, he knew the game well enough that as soon as I picked up the camera in the kitchen, he went into the living room and sat in the exact correct spot in front of the fireplace. I've never used anything but flashes for indoor lighting before and it took me the three shoots to figure out the correct lighting using what I had. Other than using indirect window lighting, I got out my work light stand that has two 500 watt halogen bulbs attached. I stretched the stand out to about 6 feet tall and pointed the lamps up at an angle to bounce the light off the ceiling. Anyway, a few people have commented on the lighting and just thought I would share.
