As for the comments, I don't remember seeing comments on entries running onto a second page before. Well done!

Hey all, thanks for the votes! I've been consistently scoring pretty low on the challenges, so this feels like quite the break!
I found the lovely leaf by the school busstop on the first day of the year that was cold enough for the frost to linger for a few minutes past sunrise. Which just happened to be on a day within the challenge about ice....think I got lucky with this one! The blueish background behind the leaf is the frosted trunk of my beat-up old VW Jetta. It was the simplest thing. I'm a big fan of the idea of finding beauty in your immediate world like this.......

And a here's a big dose of well-wishing for the holiday going out to all of us, lurkers, posters, commentators, and voters alike. We've made this forum a very good thing indeed.

No surprise at all - beautiful shot! One of my absolute faves this round, so very pleased to see it getting some love in the results :) Congrats not only to the other qualifiers, but to EVERYBODY who submitted - some very interesting, beautiful, and amusing shots this round.
