Jfriend, I know this is a gallery page, I want it to look just like this: http://www.ksteppingphotography.com/...3773&k=5b6569Z which was done with your slideshow. I followed your directions in the instruction manual for my other galleries and it worked perfectly.
Installing a Slideshow on a Gallery Page If you would like to put a slideshow on a gallery page, the easiest way to do so is to insert it into the gallery description. This works very much like inserting the slideshow into the biobox in the first example of the tutorial. Go to the desired gallery page, click on "Edit" for the gallery description and insert code like this into the gallery description (you select your own gallery URL and splash image URL): <html> <script type="text/javascript"> JF.InsertSlideshowHere({ galleryURL: "http://jfriend.smugmug.com/Portfolio/Signs/879691_ybBJZ#39801650_zYreW", splashImageURL: "http://jfriend.smugmug.com/photos/1147964710_L69g9-L.jpg", stretchy: "true"} ); </script> </html> |

Hi JFriend, THANK YOU for your slideshow expertise... I have a question tho... your information has been the best for me by far but I want my slideshow to be bigger than it is, I am in the middle of changing it now but would LOVE LOVE LOVE for my slideshow to take up a little bit more use of the page rather than just be a square... how can I stretch it out without stretching out the actual image (full size screen without the full size stretched out image) can you assist me? www.pearldawnphotography.com
Thank you Just looked thru some of the posts.. what I am looking for is something like http://www.bryanbargerphotography.com/ ***FANTASTIC PHOTOS @BryanBarger... but that is what I want my photos to do expand vertical or horizontal as they are shot to fill the screen... how can I attain this? THANK YOU AGAIN IN ADVANCE Last edited by visualnewbie; Jul-05-2012 at 02:01 PM. |

Help with Top Level Links
I created one of your slideshows with my web site (http://www.mhcooperphotography.smugmug.com/) and it seems to be working just fine.
I wanted to emulate one of the sites you reference in one of your links (http://www.moonriverphotography.com/). I have tried several things but just can not seem to get the top level links (e.g. Galleries, Home, Search, Blog, etc.) to show up on my page. Do you know of where I can find the code to create these hot links at the top of my form. I have even looked at the source code but that did not help that much. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Hi Jfriend, I have removed the smugmug slideshow and my bio box is now up. The bottom java script was there when I looked at it, so I'm not sure why you can't see it. I have deleted it and put it in again, and nothing is happening. I think something is wrong with my bottom javascript box. It seems as though any coding I put in there is not working. I'm trying to remove the words "galleries and sub-catagories" according to the javascript you give and that's not working either. Please help |

I have almost exactly the same question as vega guy, but it appears I used a different method of putting a slideshow in a category. I don't want the slideshow to appear in any of the subcategories. I used:
JF.InsertSlideshow({ in my Java to insert a new one. Thank you so much for all you do in this forum. My "customized" smugmug site is really just a collection of your code put together. I am very grateful. ~melissa |

Problems with JFRIEND slideshow not loading
Hello, I was needing help getting the JFriend HTML5 script working on my smugmug page.
I installed all of the script as instructed in the tutorial, as well as inserted the code in my bio. When my page loads, the Splash photo comes up, and the little circle starts in the center like it is loading, but nothing happens. Is there something I need to do to the album I am pulling from to get it to load? I am about ready to shoot my computer:-) Any help would be appreciated. My site address is http://michaelmountsphotography.com Thank you |

Hi Mate,
Is it possible to use this slideshow, or one like it, on an external webpage - so that I would have a slideshow like this (which is one of the nicest I've seen btw) using images from a smugmug gallery on an external page? Thanks, Cam |

I spoke a little too soon. My solution eliminated the slideshow entirely!
I added the slide show to my category with the JF.InsertSlideshow( ) function http://melissachristine.smugmug.com/Swimming/ and yes I have some layout issues! I want to eliminate it from all the the sub categories. For example http://melissachristine.smugmug.com/...rials-Swimmers (where I also have layout issues !) Thanks so much!

John, I did it! I did it really ;) Experimenting with code. If somebody wants to have buttons on both right and left screen sides, here is the code: Code:
#mySlideshowPrevious {
z-index: 20;
position: fixed;
top: 50%;
left: 20px;
margin-top: -50px;
margin-right: -100px;
cursor: pointer
}
#mySlideshowNext {
z-index: 20;
position: fixed;
top: 50%;
right: 20px;
margin-top: -50px;
margin-left: -10px;
cursor: pointer
}
