Nikon SB-600 or SB-700
I'm interested in buying a reasonably priced Nikon SB-600 or SB-700 if anybody is planning on selling one.

If you have the option, get the SB700...it's easier to use...and has the latest in technology...never discount newer technology. I have an SB600 and like the SB800, neither are as user friendly as the newer SB700, SB900, and SB910. Myself, I would only be looking for an SB700.

And the price difference is minimal. You might have a hard time finding a used SB700, though.

Just my two cents.

Ed, I've been thinking about the same thing. Thanks for your valuable input. I may buy the the SB-700 new unless I can find a used one for a reasonable price.

Your input surely made my decision easier.

Wow. I just looked at the price of referbed SB600's, SB800's and SB900's...ouch.

SB600 new from Best Buy...my cost $199.
SB800...my first one...on sale, $299
SB900...my first one...on sale, $399

When the SB900's hit the market, I sold my two SB800's and bought two new SB900's for right around a hundred each out of pocket after selling the SB800's. My wife had just given me my first SB900 ($399) and I liked it so much that I knew I wasn't going back.

Good luck, maybe you'll find a deal...

Exactly my thought. It looks like all these units go on sale sometime around October on Amazon. I guess I will end up buying a new SB700 when it goes on sale this year.
