Photo size in custom footer
I used html/css in the "custom footer" area of the "Advanced Site-wide Customization" tool to create a photo link which leads to my guestbook page which is an unlisted gallery.
http://www.greatlifephotos.com/
I am trying to use css to make the image much smaller (248px by 100px), but, when I try to make the image any smaller than it is now, it takes a chunk out of the middle and turns it into a square thumbnail. If I force the dimensions with css it takes a chunk out of the middle and stretches it instead of using 100% of the photo in it's original form.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace the "S" with the size you want. The red below will set the longest side at 248 keeping the ratio.
Code:
<div id="footpic">
<a href="http://www.greatlifephotos.com/Other/Guestbook/24636713_xdk8nM">
<img src="http://www.greatlifephotos.com/photos/i-p8jCmxt/0/248x248/i-p8jCmxt-248x248.jpg" />
</a></div>
In html, images are technically closed with a slash although seems to work without it.
