Very nice shot. Those things scare me. Don't know why; I suppose it's because they have so little fear of humans.

Hi Pam,

I shot these at Whistler mountain in BC, Canada. (Where the Olympics were held). We were only up there about 45 minutes and we saw several bears. Bear scat all along the sidewalks. When pulling out from the Olympic site parking lot, there was a black bear perched on the concrete lane divider!

Awesome series Randy. Very well done man

I like number 3 the most. You could even add a text-balloon to that one saying "Pssssttt....!"

Thanks Joel,

I was fairly close, but no where near as close as my grizzly shots I posted a while back.

Bears, regardless of type, certainly aree impressive... And dangerous. Sadly the ones on the lower mainland of BC and throughout most of Alberta have lost all fear or and respect for people. And idiot tourists keep feeding them and telling their kids to go stand "over there" to snap a pic just before the kid become sushi. Sigh.

But your photos are wonderful!

Nice ones Randy, and this bear sure has an intense look on them and looking right into the camera.
