How can we store them at smugmug, or is there a program to manipulate a doc, txt or pdf file into a jpg?

Good to know but I'd rather have the pdf stored at SmugMug.

What is missing is what I would vote on: a way for people to be able to buy an 8.5x11 print of a pdf document or some other size I choose. As it stands now, I'd have to convert my pdf's to jpegs to sell them on SM.

What if a Pro account user bought their domain/s through GoDaddy - is there a way we can store them there?

Sure you can. But it's far far easier to just store them on Dropbox.
