Thanks for taking a look. My slideshow is actually jfriends slideshow. I limited the size of the images as some of my customers are still on dial up. I just added it, so it took the place of my bio. I do plan on adding an "about me" and "contact" page soon. I also have a favicon but for some reason it doesnt show up sometimes.

I've got only one question about my logo. I did it by myself, however I'm not a professional logo designer ;) What do you think, change it or not? Is it acceptable? Thanks in advance for having a look to

Who says you have to be a professional logo designer?!?!?! I think the font choice is modern, its simple & the end of the day, its your brand. Personally, I like it. The "soul light" is somewhat difficult to read at first.

You have a good start - but the first thing that hit me was that your banner is centered by your slideshow is sitting to the left of the browser window. It would look better centered.

Your information and about navbar entries bring up the same page. Either remove one of the entries or create a different page for one of them.

Using a smugmug style gallery for an informational page (or for your guestbook) is not very effective. You could try either a gallery locked into the style Journal (Old) with a single photo and the text entered as the caption for the photo, or you could try an HTML-only gallery. For the second, see tutorial at http://allen-steve.smugmug.com/gallery/3819841. Click the navbar on that site for other options.

I would recommend moving the "Galleries" navbar entry to be the second entry in the navbar, not the last entry. It looks like an afterthought.

I used Chrome & favicons (at least mine) typically are visible. In the favicon link I posted, Denise references a few changes that allow favicons to be displayed on Safari, Chrome etc. If I remember correctly, Basic & Power users are limited as SmugMug reserves this for Pro accounts (silly IMO).

favicons are not limited to pro accounts - the limitation is that the implementation is not usable on all browsers. see http://help.smugmug.com/customer/por...y-own-favicon-.

Welcome to SmugMug! BTW, we're never gentle I like the simplicity of your background selection (subtle with a lil' flare). However, have you noticed that your slideshow is not centered with your header (logo)? I'd also suggest making the background of your header "transparent" so that it blends perfectly with your current (or any future selected) background perfectly.

When creating a "Bio" page, you should designate this as an HTML only page. This would also hold true for your "Information" page.

Your "contact me" link listed on Bio page should be it's own navbar entry. Currently, when visitors click that link, they are taken to Wufoo's page. To keep your visitors on your page (when using an external contact page), (1) you should create an HTML only page, (2) open Wufoo and copy the "iFrame Version" of your contact form & (3) paste this in the "Description" of that gallery. Note you'll need to add one single image & "hide" it. From there, the form should open, function & close on your site. This should get you started & please post back once you've made some more updates!

I'll have to take a look at my favicon. It works fine in firefox and IE, but not on my iPad using Safari.

Correction - it doesn't work in IE :( IE unfortunately picks up the default Smugmug's favicon.

The one thing that jumped out at me is that you have removed the breadcrumb without replacing it with something else. This means that your viewers have no idea of what they are viewing. See the first post of the thread Are you really sure you want to hide the breadcrumb? Think of your viewers.

A second thing that jumped out at me is the captcha on your contact form - the words in the form are unreadable, even with multiple refreshes. I'd suggest finding a better captcha implementation to use on your form.

Thanks for the feedback! :)

I've re-added the breadcrumb trail (minus the root). About the captcha, Re-captcha (the provider) has had some issues these past couple weeks with images not loading properly. I'm looking into an alternative, but at the same time am hoping that re-captcha will sort out the issue.

Thanks Again,
Jeremy

Recently had someone do some customizing on my site. Wouldn't mind some feedback on possible tweaks or things for consideration. I'm happy with the overall layout, but never completely satisfied so I love getting some feedback and suggestions.

I have the same issue yes. Just get the Smugmug smile for the favicon in Chrome. There was a thread about that somewhere, but I can't seem to locate it. Perhaps I made up seeing one too, who knows!

http://www.zlbphotography.com/

I like this layout, it seems unique and I like the social integration with in each photo.

It seems that when I use the dropdown to navigate it takes a long time to load but if I click the word Portfolio and then click the category it loads fast.

Under services, I don't like the tilda (~) as a bullet point indicator. A simple good old fashioned bullet point works better in my opinion. Also, the spacing between the titles of the services and the following text seems off.

I think you should implement the smugmug contact page or use wufoo the way Travis has on his site instead of what you have now.

Thanks for the input David! I agree on the bullet points for sure, will have to change those when I get back from work. The spacing, I believe is due to using a header tag which I believe has an automatic line break after it? Something else to look into this evening.
When you're referring to the contact page, what more specifically are you thinking should change? The extra stuff at the top removed or at least moved down below? I have considered the smugmug one, and may yet again.

Instead of just having your phone and email which is easy to spam, create a contact form using Wufoo.

You can have custom fields which the user can type in their info and questions and it will get forwarded to your email.

I use the SmugMug contact form. If you go to my website and click contact you will see what it is all about.

Looks like you have the wufoo form. you either just added it or i didn't wait for it to load the first time. I would take your phone and email off though and let your audience provide their's instead
