Could use some quick advise here.
I'm doing a shoot on Sunday with a returneel (an actual working model) who has decided she wants to add bikinis to her port.

While she is extremely beautiful and by no means "plus" sized, her lower body is slightly heavier than her upper body.

I know the principles about angling her hips away from the camera and never shooting flat face front but if anyone has other techniques for minimizing her body differences I'll not only listen, I'll write them down on my shoot notes.

I love this girl and want her to get images that show her at her best.

Any help anyone??

Keep her on her back foot and move the front foot slightly in front of her this will narrow the hips some then I guess you'll have to liquify some. Seated poses showing more of the top or possibly holding a towel in some type of feminine way to hide a portion of the leg.

John,

Here is what I would do:

Try to use Narrow lighting (less exposed body parts to the camera).
Try to have the part that is a bit larger not to stick out to much from the scene/background. (make the top part pop-out)
Don't let here sit or lay-down on the places that you do not want come over larger as that will make ties even bigger.
Try to shoot from a higher position under a slight angle
Try to keep those parts as far as you can away from the camera.
Positioning and the color of the bikini can make a big difference (black bikini will work on very tanned skin, don't use a white color as that will emphasis the waist etc...)
Put some eye-catchers in the shot, but away from the places where you don't want the attention.
And at the end , there is Liquify in PS

So that is what I most of the time do..

Good luck sunday....

take a look at a People magazine or such and study the red carpet poses used on the red carpet, the women know how to look their best. I once read a entire paragraph about Jessica Beil's famous butt pose. I think I got her name right . lol

As a guy that has studied Jessica Biel's butt for hours, I think it deserves not just a paragraph but an entire novel written about it.
