I get these ideas into my head and then it just never turns out how I expect and struggle for ways to improve it. :( Can't figure out where to take this idea next. And yes, the "garbage can" is an acceptable response from people. :)

FWIW, it might have worked better if the car was shot more from behind and the sign had more of the same angle to it. As it sits, the curves ahead part just doesn't meld with the image well (IMHO).

I think I know what you are going for but this image is half-baked. I think it's gotta be an actual sign, on the side of an actual road, with an actual car, and a dramatic tilt. I just did a google image search for "curves ahead" and watch out!! But I didn't see anything like what I'm thinking of. Seems like you could make it happen.

Yeah, it does need a lot of work. Half-baked is right. This shot was at Harris Hill Road, back in 2010. One of my favorite images. The "1.82" miles part of the sign is because that track is 1.82 miles long, and of course has lots of turns. Trying to tie all that in and its just not working.

I agree with Jack. I get what you are trying to accomplish, but it needs to be a real sign and the car shot from the back and a pretty aggressive angle. Good luck!

The image by itself is quite nice. Why spoil it? I like the background and the curving road (might open up the crop a little to get more of the road, if possible), and the colours. Dunno...to me the sign is a bit too cute (even fully baked) for this lovely image.

Maybe more cropped would help. Lose the sign, but redo the words below the car?

The image while cool that it has the horizon, sorta loses with the building above the car. Might be better to lose the top right third to make the car bigger, lose the building and make the road more pronounced. Still though, as mentioned above, the angle on the road might not help your battle to get your intended point across. ..or maybe try to clone out the building and the bit of weeds blocking the road and just crop a bit?

The sign seems goofy to me and especially where placed, blocks where your eye wants to go.
