Aaron, there are a number of gorgeous photos here. The first thing that struck me, though, was that you and I photographed the very same tree the same weekend! Mine was taken on Friday. I'd guess your number 5 was taken on Saturday. http://cornflakeaz.smugmug.com/Lands...L/Aspen-XL.jpg

PS: Obviously, you have a good eye.

I was there on Friday as well. Got there around 2pm with my son and camped for the night.

We walked right past you and watched you setting the camper up. If I'd known it was you, I'd have introduced myself. Sorry to derail your thread, but that's amazing.

Yes, those aspen shots are beautiful. I like 5, 4 & 2 in that order and all the others are nice too! I really like the snow with the white aspen trunks. Nicely done.

Thanks for the comments! Wish I was in Colorado for the season - lots of color to be found.

Thanks Trey! The snow added a nice feature for the photos but it made the nights and morning really cold.

I really like #5 the contrast between the lighted trunks and yellow leaves and the dark background is great.

Very nice series, some great color. This is too funny you and Cornflake shot the same tree, man it really is a small world. My fav which I think has a lot of commercial appeal is #4, nice work. you could try and lighten the aspen trunks to give them even more seperation, right now they appear a netural gray. just a thought.

Great series, Aaron! #4 is a killer abstract and far better than any I've managed with a similar technique.
