A suicidal centipede ?
Very rarely see centipedes apart from diving for cover in freshly turned earth or compost, however I found this 3" long specimen parading around on the top of a 4 foot fence post. It was pretty active and was rearing up every now and then as if looking to go higher. No idea what it was doing there but was still there a couple of hours later (last shot) not moving quite as much so I ruined it's day by getting back down into the leaf litter.
