My first attempt at fire works.
And I am totally pleased!!!
And lucky...I have a friend who lives on the 14th floor of an apartment complex that gives a good horizon view of Towson/Baltimore, MD. Set up the tripod, set up the camera, cracked open some cold ones and enjoyed the show 150 yards away. We also got to watch several other shows off in the distance. There was a slight breeze that blew the smoke to us, but mainly off to the left. Played mainly with the speed, from .5s to 15s. I need to figure out if my camera has a bulb setting... Enjoy. I did! (No PP work was done. Simply used Canon's DPP to create JPEG's from the RAW files.) "Phoenix Rising" ![]() "It's a Corona Christmas" ![]() ![]() I really wish I had caught all of this on the sensor. ![]() "Weeping Willow" ![]() "Sea Fan" ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Caught this one just as it burst.

45 minutes
![]() We only got about 25 minutes for the $100K in Columbus, OH. And that may be the coolest finale shot I've seen posted so far - awesome
