For woodworkers :wink

My grandfathers Stanley spoke shave snuggling up to a contemporary Veritas shoulder plane from Lee Valley.

Early morning window light on my bench...

    Hey Don,

Pretty cool shot with the "Old School" and the "New Kid" tools together. Easily shows the improvements modern technology has made.

I used to make rustic western furniture, and used a lot of time-period tools for the work. It didn't take long for me to have a real appreciation for those woodworkers of old. The masterful work that they produced using tools that, while they did their job, required loads of skill and effort.

    Thanks for posting.

Excellent inspiring image. I'll have to create a couple of some of my old tools and post them.

Then we can be Tool Porn Junkies. thumb.gif

And often Rust Junkies at the same time. ;-)
