At the Fair

A few weekends ago the Foster City Arts and Wine Festival was held. The name is somewhat misleading, as although there are some booths where artists and wineries try to sell stuff, the real reason most people go there is for the rides. I went there early in the evening of Saturday the 5th of June to pick up my daughter and her boyfriend, who had been there all afternoon. While waiting for them I took a few pictures with a 35mm film camera.

C&C appreciated!

Camera: Nikon FE
Film: Kodak Tri-X 400
Lens: Nikkor 85mm f/2 AI-S

1. Fun!

2. This older Indian couple were just sitting there. I suppose they were waiting for someone, but I thought their placidity contrasted nicely with all the action around them. The OOF girl on the left entered the shot just as I started to press the shutter release.

Yeah, I was irritated at the time to have that girl walk into my shot just at the wrong moment, but the more I look at it, the more I think she did me a favor. She gives it more of a sense that this is a place where things are happening, and she fills in what would otherwise be some fairly dead space on the left that I might have just had to crop out.
