Where did I go to see fireworks tonight? The airport, of course! Charlotte had fireworks at the minor league ball park downtown - sorry, Uptown - after Team USA played Cuba. I shot these from the hourly parking deck at CLT, which offers a nice skyline view.

9 -Of course, I couldn't go to CLT and not take any airplane pictures. Sunwing Airlines, a low-cost Canadian based airline flies a 737 weekly between Charlotte and Punta Cana, DR.

Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th!

Moose, nice fireworks shots. I had traveled to a sight last night to do the same thing and the whole event was canceled due to thunderstorms. I would love to see another set of airplane shots at CLT similar to the series you posted several months ago. They might have been shot from this same location on the parking deck.

I've never seen better fireworks shots, set against the city skyline. Fabulous. Call the chamber of commerce: these need to be published!!
