I'm trying to use the Be Social feature to share content from my site (http://www.alexbrodie.net/) to Facebook. After clicking "Post to wall" I get a "Loading, please wait..." progress dialog that never goes away and nothing appears on Facebook.

This happened repeatedly for my wife (not smugmug user), so I tried and it happened for me too (smugmug user). Eventually (~10 min) I got myself unstuck somehow so that I could share (it happened when I tried to share a different piece of media I think), but my wife still got endless loading on the same media. When I was unstuck it seemed like I could share any media and it would complete and succeed almost immediately. Then, after trying for another while (>10 min) with my wife's account, her sharing seemed to get unstuck after going to the advanced settings and toggling some settings back and forth.

I've heard from other family members that they've had some issues with the share functionality on my site, and I imaging they're hitting the same thing.

I've done a small amount of customization of my site, but it's pretty much all CSS.

I haven't tried other Be Social sharing targets since I don't have accounts there.

Anyone have any ideas about why sharing to Facebook won't work properly? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Alex,
Going to your photostream on your site, I was able to share a photo to Facebook without problems. It just took a few seconds and then was done. I was viewing your site as a SmugMug visitor in Chrome on my Mac.

As far as I can tell, after clicking the "post to wall" button, everything that happens is that we try to send your post to Facebook. It sounds like a temporary glitch at Facebook if it's stuck on that process.

Another thing I can think of is that there might be some antivirus, ad blocking or Internet security software interfering with the process. Or maybe some browser addon is interfering?

You could also try removing the SmugMug app from Facebook and to try sharing again.

I had the same problem and all I did was sign out of my smugmug and shared them as a visitor . :)
