An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Nice work. Great color and contrast at, I assume, a fairly high ISO. thumb.gif

Your work and advice convinced me to go 7D II as an upgrade to my 1DIII. Kept the 1D so I can have both on the rugby sidelines this season. Looking forward to hitting the field and trying out all the focusing options I now have.

2-7: I didn't give the camera enough time to focus on this interception before shooting. Oh well...

Really nice work, as usual. What ISO were you up to? I've been pushing my 7DII up to 5000 or 6400 just to stay at 1/800 shutter on these dark fields. Occasionally get away with 4000.

Thanks. The lights on our home field are some of the best around. They don't color shift, and their minimal flicker is easily dealt with by the 7D2's anti-flicker mode. I'm usually at ISO 3200, f/2.8, 1/800. For shots in some parts of the field I will bump up the exposure a bit in post.
