First layer of ice this season. Small area - water feeder for birds.

Abstract or not?

For me a good abstract is about color and composition. I find that in this shot, as is, there are too many distracting artifacts, the leaves, the letters on the bottom of the feeder. I see potential for a good abstract by isolating the upper right corner of the frame, a vertical rectangle that would begin at the top right, go down to about half the frame and about 1/5th of the current frame in width. Of course there could be many other options depending on your own point of view.

    I love abstract workclap.gif

Darn, I agree with your excellent assessment - live and learn.

Is this what you had in mind?
