I just bought the 5DMIII and the 70- 200 MKII. I thought about the Nikon ,but I stood with Canon as I will be playing with Dressage.I do not expect to make a penny, just have enjoyment.I have a lot to learn,so be patient with me.......

The 70-200 MK II is a great lens for horse shows. I took it with my 7D to the Scottsdale Arabian show last spring. The combo worked great for the outdoor stuff including dressage as well as in the indoor arena. Now that I have the 5DIII as well, I will use it next time.

Yes there is a warranty.
It is an amazing piece of equiptment.
It will get it's first test this Saturday night at the horse show.Starts at 5pm the show and goes until 11pm so it will be interesting.I will post photos.
ALSO having never shot RAW before how fast will it eat up a 32gb card .
Thanks for the help......

RAW will fill up a card faster, -- hope you have Photoshop for the RAW processing

I have CS6 and I figured it would gobble up the card so I am going to shoot some RAW and then shoot some high JPEG.It is a 32 GB 1000x card which I assume means less buffering time.It will be an experiment, but being around horses and good weather, hopefully it will be a good experiment.
Also wearther resistant means if it really starts to rain bring the camera into the car I assume.
Another question , battery life.Just the one that came in the camera.????
