The first of three planned photo shoots for her this summer. This one is her "casual dress" shoot. Mom is looking forward to the "dressy dress" shoot. Me, I can't wait for the sports/dance/cheer shoot.

Thanks Sam. Although many will most likely argue with me, I still find little girls easier to photograph than big ones. Much less drama! :D

Thank-you Mitchel. A compliment from a gifted photog like you is nice to hear.

I too am fond on number 2 above. After looking at more of them last night, I found one I like equally. Going to post it here along with a shot of her from almost exactly three years ago.

Looking through these again since I really like the posing.

Take a closer look at #3. I think your WB is a bit off as her skin looks a bit green. I struggle in these settings with some much greenery. There can often be a bit of a green cast due to all the reflected foliage.

Good catch Mitchell! I hadn't noticed. Do now! Will attempt a "fix". Thanks!

Thanks Foques, I'm thinking it might be a touch too sexy for the intended purpose though. Still on the fence with it.

Single off camera speedlight in octobox camera right. Placed about head/chest high (middle of octobox) so as to not produce a heavy shadow under brim of the hat.

The subject was standing in full shade and metered at 2.8 and 250ss. The brightest spots of the ambient background was coming in somewhere around 500 to 800.

cute girl and nice images... the first is my favorite....a bit of green tint in some of them. Face is a bit bright in some as well.....could be my crappy monitor however.
Nice work on these...no doubt she loved them.
