browser problems, bio page problems

I originally designed my site in Safari 5.1.6, but recently upgrade to OS Lion (mac) and now I can't get into the site customizations, not even easy customization. Is Safari not supporting Smugmug any longer? I can still open my site and view it like a visitor but can't work on it.

When I work in FireFox 12.0, it's going better although when I try to create a new gallery called 'About' to use on a 'about me' page, smugmug changes my gallery and puts it into the "other" category even though I haven't asked it to do so. When I try to import an image, it doesn' t show up. (The space is blank...not just pending). The "about" gallery doesn't show up as an option to be one of my possible bio photos. When I look at my "about" page it has now inserted my homepage slideshow within the 'your bio' area.

    Hi tnye,

Yes, we do still support Safari. Here's a link describing systems we support. http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93252

It's essential that your gallery be within a category. Perhaps there's another category you wished to select?

Your other questions might be better answered in our customization section.

    Hope this helps.

All galleries have to be in a category. For your About gallery put it in the Other category and on its
gallery settings page make the gallery unlisted.

The link in your navbar would be like this.

    <li><a href="/gallery/XXXXXXXX_xxxxxxx">About</a></li>

Example of gallery number and key to replace XXXXXXXX_xxxxxxx above.

Well grannyrobin, you don't support IE9 in Win 7, even though you claim to, so maybe Safari is also a problem. I don't have a Mac, so I can't test it.

IE9 is supported. Can you make sure that the compatibility view for your site is disabled? That's not supported on SmugMug and may lead to issues. Take a look here for instructions on disabling it.
If you still have an issue, please let us know of specifics so we could take a look.

Thanks for your response Robin. After a long weekend of work on my new computer, it turns out it was some sort of problem there. I downloaded Safari again and all seems to be working fine now.
