I'm thirsty

Small dark thirsty hoverfly drinking from a dewdrop on a grass blade. Quite often see hoverflies landing in grass (I assumed looking for water) but this is the first time I've managed to shoot one drinking from a dewdrop.

    Brian,

    Lovely detail. I'm not sure that I would have recognised it as a hover, although that would not have affected my decision to shoot.

    I've got used to these small dark hovers over the last few years and have purposely been shooting them as they do tend to be ignored.

    That's different color than usual hover fly shots I see! Pretty cool!
