Falls of Uvas Canyon

This spot is about 30 minute drive from my home. It came to life thanks to the rain-storms that have visited California. It is beautiful, but challenging location due to contrasty light, and I am not sure I did it justice.

As always all kind comments, critique, and helpful pointers are heartily cherished!!

    The moss in these shots is particularly spectacular especially against the softness of the water. Kudos - great set.

    Superb work, Taz. Contrasting light in forest shots has always been problematic for me. Obviously, it didn't slow you down one bit. Stunning stuff, buddy....hard to pick a favorite.

    It's a great series and the lighting and color are just right.....except the water in the first 3 is too blue for me. In a few of the others, the water seems blown out a bit but not so much that it is distracting; I like the silkiness you achieved with the water.

    I think the best part of all the images is your composition. The foregrounds pull me into the scene and then the lines draw me all the way into the forest. The depth you achieved is amazing!

    Numbers two and eight standout for me. The close-up green color just pops out. Especially the unusual green rocks -- that is fascinating. It looks very slippery - did you manage to stay upright?
