Hi Randy, looks like a case of right place / right time.
Cheers, Richard.
Yeah Richard, your right on with that. A nasty thunder storm with 60mph winds had just blown through and the setting sun peaked out at the last moment. I knew that I only had about 2 minutes or less for the shot. Lukily I nabbed it before it went under.
I looked at the photo before reading where it was shot and I thought .. If you build it they will come Iowa has wonderful sunsets and you shot it beautifully.

Great shot here, pard. Nothing like being ready when the opportunity presents itself. Good eye for the picture that was developing and good execution of the shot itself.
How much longer are those boys going to hold you hostage up there?
Take care, say hi to Teresa, and scratch Tater's belly for me,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.
Hey Randy! I've been wondering where you went--I also miss seeing your work. I love this shot--the lighting is great and the diagonal lines work well. It's a wonderful image and I'm glad to see it. You're smart to stay out of TX--we're expecting 3 more months of this!
Take good care,
Lauren

HI Mary,
I was in your town 5 weeks ago!
I'll have to look at the exif. Maybe someone with exif reader will post that for you.

Thanks for the nice comments. I hope they keep me hostage till snow sets in.
Oops, I should have read more carefully, I scratched Teresa's belly and told Tater hi

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for looking and commenting.
I'm letting yall deal with all that heat this summer.
What a bummer ...If anything I could of met ya at the gas station and said 'Hello'
Next time my friend I hope you have time to stop for a second and say "Hi'
I was through your town at 3am. I figured you might not have been crazy about that time frame , also, I had a good bit to go with no time for chatting, eating, sleeping... 46 hours straight in the Mini
