2014 Advent Candle

I was asked to take some photos of our church's Advent candles for the weekly bulletin.

I took black fleece and draped it over two light stands and secured it with spring clamps for the background; set white balance with ExpoDisc; used the tripod and bracketed five exposures.

It was well lit on the altar so I didn't need to use any artificial light.

Post processing was a whole lot easier by doing all of the above.

    A device put on front of lens and set manual white balance. I use it indoors a lot and sometimes outside.

    Phil,

    I like the shot but on my monitor I can see the Parts you blacked out ...like a square around the wick.....and the black brush all around it left and right all the way down....

    better!, but still there. I think you should clone the part next to the candle and move it outward towards the edge and not brush from edges towards the candle....just a thought, i am not good at layers and PS.
