uneven monitor contrast

Not sure where to post this, so please feel free to move if it's better off elsewhere..

I just noticed that my LCD monitor has more contrast at the top of the screen than the bottom. I don't know if it's always been this way or if something new is happening. It's an ASUS vw246h-1. Definitely not a pro monitor, but it's calibrated and my prints are consistently excellent, so I've been very happy with it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Unfortunately an uniformity problem can't be solved. It's something I had myself and could verify with the uniformity check of my Spyder4.

I can also recommend you a better monitor and to calibrate your monitor regularly.
