Interesting pairing--I think they work better together than apart. I want to like #1, but something isn't quite right, maybe the person needs to be darker to stand out more, dunno. #2 is more interesting. I think it's composition could be strengthened by cropping a bit off the bottom.

Whew... Back online after fighting a nasty PC virus this last week...
I agree with you on the pairing. I posted because they strengthened each other (and probably are too weak as standalones). Not sure along with you on #1 -- probably does need more "pop" due to the dominance of the white chairs. Revisiting #2, probably a smaller square crop to take out some of the left and bottom might have helped. Thanks!
