Took the family on a jam-packed tour of California over our Spring Break. One of the highlights was staying in Yosemite Valley for a few days. Landscapes are new to me so any suggestions/constructive criticism would be welcomed...

#1 El Capitan

#2 Yosemite Valley from Tunnel View

#3 Went on a photowalk with a guide fom the Ansel Adams Gallery. The next two are from the walk from locations that Ansel Adams liked to shoot from.
Half Dome

#4 Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls

#7 Yosemite Chapel - the oldest surviving building in the valley. It opened in 1869.

Good stuff here, Mike. I would go with a tad more contrast ( looking for stronger blacks ) in the B&W shot. Overall, excellent series. thumb.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks. I am going to go back and rework the BW image. I like the image but agree that it is just a little too flat...

Appreciate hearing that. Using foreground was something that I was really working on while I was there.

Doubt it but thanks anyway... We had a great time there.

These are very nice captures. We hope to get to Yosemite next year, and hopefully I can match this.
