Hello. It's been awhile since I last posted anything on dgrin.

Re: "overdone on the face", well, nothing much goes there really. There's a lot of awesome makeup of course (courtesy of my better half, who is a pro MUA), plus a basic spotting/dodge&burning, but not much advanced work. Alot of what you might think of as postprocess work comes from extremely shallow DOF, plus tilt of the front standard (anonymouscuban, right you are, medium format, Fuji GX680 and 180 3.2 - except the last one of course, that was shot on an ancient Sony a100 with 50 1.7).
Here's another one, fresh from the scanner. This one is a polaroid negative:
Again, not much was done postprocesswise. The stuff at the bottom is bleach overflow. I wasn't careful enough when clearing the negative.
You can see how the tilt works here. The standard was tilted down slightly, so that the plane of sharpness cuts through the eyes, and nose and the back of the head. Lips are at the very edge of the plane of focus. It's slightly overdone, I would prefer the lips to be sharp too, but oh well.
