    The post processing of both versions are great, and they move me equally. thumb.gifthumb

    The color versus Monochrome for me conveys more of the feeling of cold, whereas the monochrome conveys the stark beauty of the elements combined to create these huge frozen structures.

    There are features of each ( B&W versus color ) that give the different approaches a separate appeal. I like them both. Nicely captured. That has to be an impressive scene to be experienced personally.

    These were more isolated, solitary bergs floating nearer the mouth of Scoresby Sound.

    Later we passed through several ice fields where we were completely surrounded by ice bergs on all sides, varying in size from refrigerator to city block and larger. Quite a humbling environment, but with a very spare beauty.

    We spent days without seeing a solitary sign of humanity other than our little wooden boat.

    Makes the wilderness in the western US and Canada seem almost metropolitan.

    This is unedited iPhone footage - notice the three glaciers we motor by in the background. One of there reasons I did shoot some very limited video ( which I rarely do as I know little about it ) is the sheer vastness of the scale which I found hard to capture in still images. Even in the video it is hard to appreciate that the shoreline ranges are about 1000 meters in height. The scale is so much larger than we are usually acquainted with.

    Very nice work on them all. I favor #2 for the "cold" colors!

    These are terrific. Even though I usually prefer black and white, I think color works better on these.

    Notice the water color which was almost tan due to the bottom mud stirred up from the bottom by the iceberg

    And for a bit of scale - here is the boat we were on next to a modest iceberg - our masts were about 80 feet tall

    Fantastic images. Having served on an icebreaker back in the 60s and making it up o 83 degrees north between Greenland and Canada I can appreciate the beauty of these bergs.
    Got a camera couple of lenses and some other stuff

    I think the high latitude and the cloudy skies contributed to nice soft light almost all day long at times. The lack of trash on the beaches was quite noteworthy, and noticed almost the whole trip. The landscape shows almost no sign of human presence

    Super images!!! Very well done!!

    I've been to the high Arctic many times and even traversed glaciers but, never seen icebergs. Still on my bucket list.

    Your images inspire me to move this trip up into the top three on that list and to get out there.

    I shoot a lot of black & white and infrared, however, your color images take the award here. Given the location, light conditions and composition, the color images get my vote over B&W this time.

    Thanks for helping to rearrange my bucket list for 2016.
