From my work building during the recent storms, shot with TrueHDR. thumb.gif It's unprocessed, otherwise.

For reference, here's another shot, taken normally (notice how much sharper this version is):

I'm bumping this thread because I was fortunate enough to upgrade to the iPhone 4 which has a pretty serviceable camera in it. Nice, as I don't have a point-and-shoot.

I've been having a lot of fun with CrossProcess (since i'm already a Lomo freak) and I am really pleased with some of the things it can do.

By default all images have a border:

But you can turn that off:

And I got a question -- some time ago someone posted somewhere on Dgrin about a camera app that did pretty did it all for the landscape photographer. It even had some sort of sunrise/sunset locator. Anyone know where that link went, or what it was? ear.gif

Schmoo, I have PhotoCalc, it's pretty good. Also for all: I really recommend Perfectly Clear for iPhone thumb.gif

Wasn't Perfectly Clear just here for lunch? lol3.gif

That app looks like it can reallt clean things up. I'll check it out, thanks!

I'm not sure if Sunlight Tracker was the same one I read about before, but this one looks like it'll do what I was looking for. Let's see if it will help us locate those Bowling Balls this weekend...

    Perfectly Clear looks great!

I also upgrade to iPhone4, and shot a little video at a concert the other night. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. Great stuff, even if my video isn't! :D

I'm quite impressed with the camera in this new iphone 4.
It's fast (almost as fast as my SD960 point and shoot), and rather sharp.

With my previous iphone 2 (aka 3G), I could never hope to get something in motion, and even static shots were questionable in anything but the most benign light.

LA doesn't often get pretty weather. We get gray skies or blue skies. Last night the record-breaking heat wave broke with some perty clouds.

Taken with my iPhone 4 with Camera+, cropped, and then adjusted the black levels in Iris Photos Suite. The image is pretty noisy, but you shoot with the camera you have, right? :D

    Iphone HDR
I have a lot of fun with my phone. I used the app Pro HDR $1.99 for this and most of my phone images.

People love that app, but I find the haloes it produces distracting, so I've opted for TrueHDR. The built-in HDR in iOS4 is pretty great, too. It doesn't produce as much range, but its 3 pix in one quick succession thing is great. It's not going to produce the heavy HDR look, but it saves many a back-lit shot.

TrueHDR does a great job. It's a little slower at processing the image in my 3gs,but much faster at capture then ProHDR. $1.99 is cheap fun, nowadays who can't use that?
Here is a quick (out walking the dog) comparison.
