We always manage to get a rainbow with our puffin shots too :wink
Yes, the rainbow is real, not artificial.

Yowzers, Jim! You've out-done yourself with these. Your Puffins coming with their own rainbows and perfect low light raises the bar for absolutely everyone else.

Yikes! I just found that gull/cliff/rainbow shot in your gallery. I. Am. Speechless.

The funny thing is I realized I now have rainbow shots with puffins, with highland cattle, and with whales, and with a few wildebeests. Who would have ever thought that likely?

Is this the frame you were mentioning David?

Yes, that cliff shot. Has Dave V. seen these Puffins yet? He'd be going wild over the whole bunch. Nobody likes Puffins more than Dave V. deal.gif

On our workshop this June, Andy was in "The Pose" most of the trip. If Google had all those "Pose" shots, they would quickly become a meme. See "planking" ref. to "meme."

Of the first three they are all great...composition, color etc. but #1 and 3 are special! clap.gif

Very nice series of images, with nice details and control on the whites. I like them all but what is neat is the one with the rainbow.

I liked the rainbow at the time, but was frustrated because I really wanted to be about 10 feet further to the right - but that was 10 feet out past the open cliff face and wasn't possible without a drone

I'm glad folks liked the rainbows, they always make me feel good too

That puffin / rainbow shot qualifies as one of the finest birding photos that I've seen.
