Snakes Gone Wild
Following up on Kdog's post here is a 2nd view of those dirty snakes doing the horizontal mambo

Here is what they were doing when they originaly caught our attention. I have never seen rattle snakes standing up like this.
1.

2.

Joel had the advantage of the snakes being on his side of the Jeep so he stayed in while I got out to get a few other shots.

Such a cute couple
3.

4.

This is where I backed up a few steps and was prepared to jump into the back of the Jeep.
5.

6.

It is always some adventure when Joel and I hook up for a shoot.

Great shots with your telephoto, Aaron.

I wish I'd gotten mine as well, however it was in the back of the Jeep, and I wasn't in the mood for stepping out on the driver's side if you catch my drift.

I'm still disappointed that you didn't go into the bushes and flush them out again after they slithered off though.

Cheers,
-joel

Yeah- and you should have gone into the brush after the one you ran over with the Jeep.

Are you kidding? Have to stop for something like this. There was only one time it was at all a little scary - that would be picture #5.

I had three escape routes planned in case the one decided to come my way.

Ignorance is truly bliss.
As much as I enjoyed looking at these images, snakes are one critter that I don't miss in Alaska
