Accurate exposure IN CAMERA saves hours of post processing trying to “fix” an image. Show us what you’ve got in this highly technical area! All images must be posted directly as they were taken (NO POST PROCESSING – NOT A CROP, CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS ADJUSTMENT – NADA!). This means more shoot time and zip pp time. If you feel weak in this area, don't let it stop you from entering - do some research and get out and shoot, shoot, shoot!
We will be using the honor system here, as there is no solid, sure-fire way to test this. Shoot jpeg and even a raw conversion won't be necessary. So, be honest please, and go have fun!

This thread, is the one into which you post your entry. Remember, 1 entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during this contest period. Entries must have exif embedded or appended. Click here and here for help. Photos entered without proper exif showing a clear shot date will be disqualified.
To avoid disqualification, read, in full, the DGrin Sharp Shooters Challenge Rules.

Full disclosure: in-camera settings: Jpeg (fine), Image size (small, 2144x1424), WB (6250 [for some reason the exif in Smugmug shows "auto"]); Picture Control (vivid), Sharpening (+7), and Saturation (+1). The rest can be seen in the exif data.

This was taken in JPG mode, transfered to my hard drive, and opened in CS3.
I then resized the shot, then saved it. Nothing other than these steps were done to this shot.

For this challenge I got up at 3:00am to climb the local mountain (elev. 3,165 ft) in order to be up top for the sunrise. It was an amazing experience and I got a lot of great photos. It was hard to decide, but I think I like this one best. I am so glad I participated in this challenge.
