I was blown away by your tree shots. I love trees and you all entered one beautiful shot after another. I wish I could pick 20
winners in this contest which may still not have been enough. I had to basically nitpick to eliminate some great images and come up with the following.


Honorable Mentions in the order entered:

1. "Reflected Birch" By DsrtVW -- I love the beautiful green color and the reflections on this. Smart cropping too.

2. "1st entry" By ghinson -- Dark forground and the fog in the background make this a mysterious image.

3. "1st entry" By dseidman -- I love the beautiful rays of light coming through to create a serene feel.

4. "Mutant Tree" By jeffmeyers -- This is one weird looking tree. I love the IR choice on this and the title you have given to it.

3rd place: "2nd entry" By hamster -- I love Aspen trees and you have done an excellent job capturing this beautiful scenary. I love the
yellow leaves and the depth of field in this image. Simply beautiful!

2nd place: "Reflections" By EyeImage -- This one is like a fairytale. Palm tress of different hights with their reflections, not to mention
the beautiful lighting.

and the Winner (drum roll please): "In Between" By thapamd -- I fell in love with this photo the moment I saw it. The lighting is surrel! HDR perhaps? Regardless,
it is stunning. I love the warm colors and the post processing you have done on this image.
It makes me wish I was there. Congratulations!

    Excellent choices Allen and a tough job you had.
    Thanks for the Honor of the HM on the birch trees. You stare at it long enough you see the arrow shaped by the reflection.

    Now, I have to think about what the next theme should me. Let me consult with my wife and come up with something. :D
    Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.
