Wymberly Twin Macro Bracket

Here is my latest macro setup. 1DmII, canon 100mm 2.8, Wymberly twin macro flash bracket with 420EX & 580EX flashes mounted, stofen diffusers on each. The brackets were kind of pricy, but I already had the flashes and I felt this would be better than the new canon macro twin flash. The down side: this puppy is really heavy for handholding & carrying around. Just thought I would post this in case anyone is interested.

Maybe I should have posted this in the accessories area. Feel free to move.

    Very impressive.
It's beginning to look like some of the things you photograph- all it needs is some compound eye diffusers-rolleyes1.gif

Yes indeed. I get some strange looks from my neighbors when I out roaming around in the yard with my new contraption.

    I'll move this to accessories.

This is the set up I had posted a week or two ago about getting, glad to hear it is working for you. I too already have a bunch of canon speedlite's.

I almost made a deal on the MPE 65mm macro, but it fell through if I sell some of my other stuff I may go for the Canon 180mm macro, or maybe just the 105. ne_nau.gif

That looks like a great setup. thumb.gif

    Nice.

This is the other reason I began to shy away from macro. I can get expensive.

I want me a modded rebel for IR.:D

My brackets arrived today, now all I need are some patient bugs. :D

It is a handful. I could use one more extension ring (or a real macro lens MPE-65mm here I come) to get those really tight shots.
