I JUST downloaded it for my ipad about 5 minutes ago and it is just as beautiful as SmugWallet for the iphone. It was actually one of a few selling points for me.

Even the squirrels can't get one in Canada yet - and god knows what the price point will be. Of course, with our money near parity - there's hope - sort-of.eek7.gif

This is a great app. I love having my smug mug library with me wherever I take the iPad. I am seeing a bug though: whenever I tap the + button to add more things to the home screen the app crashes and sends me back to the iPad desktop.

The images are X3 (so 1600x1200) and average ~ 300kb each. Videos are requested at 720p (1280x720).

Great app, one request though. When I click on my site on the first page, it goes to the categories page, is it possible to make it go straight to galleries, similiar to how it is done on the webpage where you can sort by categories or galleries? When I'm showing clients, I would like to have it go straight to them, and not show my personal stuff in another category.

This brings up another interesting point, is it possible to hide galleries? Seems like it is showing more galleries than I have listed as public/listed on my webpage? I only have about 8 on my webpage that show up by choice, but in the app I get a lot more.

Am I doing something wrong with this app? I would like to show my galleries to co-workers and we have no wi-fi at work. Doesn't the app store them on the iPad itself?

I don't think so. If I turn WIFI off, it tells me there is no internet connection. Well, that kind of bites! I was able to download my entire Flickr gallery to the iPad with Photo Pad and it is easy enough to sync it when I add new photos. So, I can show it when I do not have a WIFI connection. Any chance of SM coming out with the same thing?

    Excellent indeed.

Would be nice if in Sub Cat level, you can see which galleries are offline 'cached' or monitor the progress of the syncing. I don't know when I can quit the app and return to something else (lack of multitasking).

Second thing is, anyway that the synced offline photos could be used in the Digital Photo Frame function? That way I could totally skip iPhoto!

I would love that feature of the photo frame as well! Never thought about it until you asked. Thanks! Maybe the SmugMug powers that be can see if that is possible for us!

Is an iPhone version of the new iPad app ever going to be released? (Specifically with the ability to view galleries), or should I go ahead and buy SmugWallet?

The iPhone web site is OK, but not great, and I'd like to have a good way to show friends the pictures from my galleries (sliding from one full screen photo to the next along with ability to zoom in and out of a high-res version)

EDIT: I went ahead and bought SmugWallet, very happy with it so far.

What is the plus and minus sign for
For the life of me I can't figure out what the plus and minus sign is for?

Also - while I love the iPad app for viewing photos offline - if I have a gallery of 2,000 family photos - that is about 104 pages - how can I quickly go from page 1 to page 104 without swiping 104 times?

    Thanks!

I really like the SmugMug iPad app. Just amazing to be able to take your portfolio with you anywhere.

Before that I used SmugWallet for the iPhone. Great app too

I seem to be the only one having problems, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get videos to play. Clips that play fine on the site show up as still images in the app. Any idea what the problem might be?

A month later we FINALLY can order iPads in Canada. Placed my order Monday and should have it on the 28th - at $100 more per unit than the US price.

Now - will I be able to get the SmugMug Ap for it??? Where?
