Burlingame Train Station
This is a train station in Burlingame, California. Aside from the pleasant Spanish Californian architecture, I found it photo-worthy because of its glaring, highly-saturated ochre color.

In retrospect I should have paid more attention to my aperture; things aren't as sharp in the distance as I would have liked, and at 1/6400 sec. I had plenty of room to stop down.

C&C appreciated.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Nikkor 28mm f/2 AI manual-focus lens
1/6400 sec. at f/2.8, ISO 200

Yes, the saturated colors are nice. More OOF would have been better, but my main issue is it lacks interest. I think with a person walking by, maybe towards the camera on the right, would have been better. Also, not your fault, but those garbage cans are off-putting. JMO.

Love that saturated color. And the blue of the newspaper stand against the ochre background is great. I do agree about the garbage cans, but there's wasn't much you could do about that.

It would have been better without the waste bins, true, but there they were. I don't think I fully agree that a person walking by would have added interest; to me, the interest is in the colors and shapes of the building and how it contrasts with the sky, and I think people would have distracted from that. But thanks for your thoughts on the shot.
