Video playback skipping...
I'm really new to video. I just got a Canon 5DMk2 and uploaded about 45 videos. The play back is really bad. The video skips about every 2 seconds. I'm playing the videos in mid-def format. Once the video plays all the way through, and you play it again, it runs perfectly smooth the second time around. Why? It looks as if it's choking on the file, and once the video is complete it's in the cache, which is maybe why it plays fine the 2nd time. I dunno.

If that's normal, that's very disappointing. I certainly don't want to point people to the videos if that's the normal behavior.

Here's a video in the gallery: http://naynlou.smugmug.com/Videos/20...648_pNSN2-L-LB

I'm running FF 3.6, on a dual core 2.6 Vista PC, with 8gb of RAM. Internet is high speed cable.

Any help would be appreciated. Is anyone else seeing the skipping???

I apologize that's happening. It sounds like the download is not quite fast enough and the playback is catching up with it. This can happening depending on your internet connection to our servers and typically if you pause the playback and let it download a bit more it will solve it.

I would also recommend that you make sure you have the current Adobe Flash installed. It's a free download via: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Well the player does seem to buffer, it just doesn't seem to be able to calculate the need for buffer.
