Lunch with andy in NYC
I was able to visit New York City last week and lucky enough to meet our infamous andy for lunch.

So wanting to gain insight on a day in the life of andy, I requested nothing special just a regular day.

What would we do first? Go to B+H of course. What to do there? SOP of course, buy a lens, flavor of the day..... 85/1.2.

with that taken care of time for lunch. MMmmmnnn steak.

Baldy was gracious enough to ring in.

Mission Accomplished.

Thank you andy for the great steak lunch. It was excellent and I will have to return there on my next trip to NYC and B+H since they are so close to each other.

and what post would be complete without my macro attempt of a dragonfly.

I'm confused.....
I just checked the fleamarket and didn't see the 85 1.2 up there yet, did you wear Andy out? Well it looks like you had a good time, and got well fed. But I wouldn't really expect anything else. So did you have to use the 10-22 to fit that steak in the frame or what?

Those steak pictures are making me hungry. No fair.

I can't beleive andy had to stand in line like a normal person at B&H. I thought for sure he would get to walk right into a private VIP room somewhere and relax in a big leather recliner while their staff got him his stuff.

And I'm with Harry how can you not make a stop at starbucks?

:( not quite lunchtime yet.

the bh trip was a good one - it really pays to buy in-store, as you saw, i refused the first copy of the 85 1.2L they brought out for me, there was a big dust bunny inside... the second one's the charm!

thanks for the lunch report - fun!

see you soon.

So Henry does that mean you like my VIP room idea? Just think of the big big spenders it could bring in. And think of how much more money andy would spend if he was relaxed, eating, and drinking something.

You lucked out Patch

I've never gone to B&H with Andy, but I (and my waistline ) can testify that the only thing better than shooting with Andy is the meal afterwards

How he maintains that girlish figure consuming all that red meat, starch and all those lattes is beyond me

I've even come to believe that's why Andy is such an Ultrawide kinda guy. UW is perfect glass for shooting food shots at dinner.....lol Now those are some memories

Hi Henry,

Would it be possible to have my pension check sent directly to B&H? Since I'm just the middleman now this would really speed things up when I order stuff.

B&H is about the only thing from NYC other than Andy that I miss since I moved down to Florida.

I don't think andy has one of these yet. I am sure the B+H can get him 95% of the way there and to think andy has been selling all of those unused lenses.
