RE Casper Studio
|
Well I see now that when I tried to add the script in the description, that I kept accidentaly copying all but the ending bracket. I've scanned the code and readded it a couple times across the board just to be sure I did not repeat that mistake. No matter though, even after I got the script in the gallery description it still not showing up. :-(
scratches head EDIT: I feel like a complete and absolute idiot. I've been using my phone for the messaging and it errored out on me the first time I tried to post a comment requesting help in the related page, but when I returned to try again, I accidentally came into this slideshow related post and carried out my convo as it I was in the FastLine thread as I assumed. I am so very sorry... as such I'm in the process of switching to this version since my initial post to Fastline did get through, yet has not be addressed. And you at least made an initial attempt at helping and likely saw some code in the source related to Fastline and figured I was looney. touche' If I have questions I will be sure to use my lappy and not the small cell screen. *goes and hides in a corner*

I have several slideshows setup in gallery pages. I tried to add a new one last night and can't seem to get it to work. It is like it doesn't have acces to the images.
Here are the working and non-working urls: Works: http://threeguysphotography.smugmug....8065572_HXPWNg Doesn't Work: http://threeguysphotography.smugmug....9706028_5bTvzr Can somebody please take a look and tell me the issue with the new slideshow? Thanks, Wayne |

Thanks for the tip, but it still doesn't work. If I move other images from the other slideshow over they show up...it is something with this set of images...

that. Second, I think Smugmug's custom image code has a bug in it in this condition. I think you will have to either make your slideshow a fixed size that is smaller that the "L" images or upload larger images.

John, thanks for looking into this. I have the images sized at 840 X 600 and the slideshow set to the same. What size is "L"? |

One other option is to set the parameter: useNativeSizesOnly: "true" and then the slideshow will load the "L" sizes.

I only want a Fade transition....
I only want the fade transition. I've looked this up and added the following CSS.
randomSlideStart: "true", randomSlideOrder: "false", betweenTransitionsTime: "3.0", transitionDuration: "1.0", transitionsList: "fade", However, it still doesn't work. I've even deleted the other transition CSS and that doesn't even work. I don't know what to do! Help! ![]() NOTE: I am designing idahostateu.smugmug.com EDIT: I got it working. Have this same problem.

I have extra space under the slideshow that I cannot reduce. I used this code above to eliminate vertical scroll and it worked EXCEPT it does not seem to fix IE. Any ideas how to drop the vertical bar for IE. Thanks, = tommy

How to get to the galleries
Hello,
I have just installed the JFriend slideshow and it works really well, am looking forward to customizing it. I have what is certainly a rookie question. I've set up a header and navigation bar using the Easy Customizer. How do I get from the homepage (with the slideshow) to the gallery or category page? Just adding /galleries to chrisneedham.smugmug.com in the nav bar button does not work, I keep ending back up at the homepage slideshow. Thanks in advance, Chris http://chrisneedham.smugmug.com/ |

Okay, I'm not by any means a pro at this, but I followed the instructions, got the slideshow working, but it takes like 30sec to load after the splash image. Then it will scroll about two or three photos, and then hang again. Is there some way to fix this, or is my MacBook pro just too slow?
