I added the keyword "slideshow" to two slides in my New Orleans gallery. Despite refreshing, I could not get one photo to be added to the home screen slideshow. I finally moved the keyword from the end to the beginning, then it worked. So I'm wondering if there is a limit to the number of keywords one can use. This is what I had set for the photo of a bicycle:

America, Louisiana, New Orleans, North America, U.S., US, USA, United States, United States of America, architectural, architectural detail, architecture, bicycle, blue, brick, building, building material, building materials, construction material, cycle, door, doors, doorway, edifice, edifices, entrance, exit, land transportation, portal, portals, structures, transport, transportation, slideshow

EEK!!!!

I have been working on my friend's site for a stretchy slideshow, and I inserted all of the code, but I must have done something wrong somewhere because I can't see the Biobox at all to edit at this point. ACK! I can't see where I went wrong.

See any glaring errors??

First of all - thank you for the slideshow, it is really nice. I need some help though. I have installed the slideshow, I use it on my gallery pages for my portfolio instead of smugmug's film strip slideshow. I it perfect on the pages that I did that day. I added some new portfolio categories where I want the slides how to be and now I cannot do it. I follow the same set of directions, I thought, but it does not work. Here is what I did this time:
I go to my home page and temporarrily display categories.
There I have category - Portfolio and Subcategory Models (for example)
I upload my pictures to Models gallery
Go up next to the crumbs where it says edit, insert this code:

1) I see the page in smugmug set up still. It doesn't even have Style, Upload etc buttons on the gallery.
2) Yesterday for a moment there I had your slideshow running, but once I changed http and splash image - nothing.
3) Sometimes I have the whole code displaying as a gallery title.
What am I doing wrong?

Yes, there is a limit to the number of keywords that Smugmug will process on a given image. I don't remember exactly what the limit is off the top of my head, but it sounds like you exceeded it (somewhere in the range of 25-30 is my recollection).

I don't understand where you inserted that slideshow code. Please post a link to the exact page that you put that code on and expect the slideshow to display. I'm not sure where to look to see what isn't working.

Slideshow just stopped working...

I saw that SmugMug updated the accounts page and went to check it out. Upon arriving at my homepage, I noticed that the slideshow was no longer working. I have put up the default slideshow from SmugMug so that people see something when they come to my site, but does anyone know why this is or if it will be fixed and so on? I know it was working this morning and I haven't done any work to my site today.

At some point, someone put this in your bottom javascript and it doesn't belong there and caused other scripts to stop working. You need to remove it from your bottom javascript:

If you really want/need this, then put this in your custom footer.

That is strange because I put that in two days ago and it was working fine until today. I will move it and see what happens.

Jfriend,

I just wanted to say thanks for sharing your custom slide show. I've been using it for a year and a half and it is still working like a charm. It even lets me do custom adjustments of other parts of my website without affecting the slideshow. Again, I just wanted to say thanks.

John, could you help me to place my navigation buttons on the left and right sides of the slideshow?
How to position them on the page to make them appear on the center:

Just a quick note to say "Thank you!" for updating the slideshow AND providing such great documentation.

I was using the prior slide show and was nervous about deleting all the coding and transitioning to the new, improved slideshow.

Process could not have been easier!

I don't understand why you expect to see on that page. That's a gallery page. where do you expect to see a slideshow?

It works with all themes and with IE9. If you want the full effect of a stretchy slideshow on your homepage, then you have to use a homepage design that can be stretched (some themes will not stretch).
