As much as I'd love to partake I have to pull the pin on this challenge. With the recent devastating earthquake here in Christchurch, NZ I have lost my home and have more important priorities on my agenda. As it is, I have lent all my camera gear to a professional who lost all his so at least he can maintain some of his business. Anyway, we're safe and we'll start again, unlike a lot of others. Say a prayer or share a thought for those less fortunate than us please.

Here's a link to a very short video of still and motion from within my home for those that maybe interested. (Taken for insurance purposes)

We were heartbroken to hear of the devastation in Christchurch. We visited NZ for a few weeks four years ago, and it is truly the most beautiful place I've ever been. I'm glad you're safe, and am certainly praying for everyone there.

I have family in Christchurch. I was very happy to hear they are all okay and survived. Not so for many others. Our thoughts are with everyone touched by the disaster.

This is a real shame. Stay safe. But, good on you for lending your gear to someone who needed it to make a living. That's selfless, and impressive. Glad to see you're okay.

Hey, Sean, I have submitted my image with a link to the image I used for the background. I used the image to make a pattern to fill the background, and I just want to make sure the exif link made sense and is done correctly.

    thanks,
    John

Am glad to hear that you and your family are safe. Had watched in horror on the news as the events unfolded a couple weeks ago. Had just swung through ChC a week prior to the earthquake, had been impressed with the beauty of the area, the friendliness of the people and the resilience after the initial quake in September. Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recover to all you Kiwis.

You have our prayers as well. We went through big ones like that in the Desert in California. Fortunately My house was not against the mountians like some neighbors that had rock falls like it looks like you had as well.
    Godspeed on your recovery.
