fit to size for BIO picture --help--
Hi

I already have a My Info page that I like in my gallery
See: http://www.titaniumphoto.com/Contact...05100633_TcS7M

And do realize that search engines (I've notice) pick up on smugmug's BIO page as their index, etc. Well, for the BIO page, I did type in basic text called "TITANIUMPHOTO -- Todd Materazzi" and did upload a picture that I called "This is Me!". This picture is actually my company logo. I didn't want to use a picture of me. Since, or if I am correct, search engines pick up on the BIO page for their "preview" like in BING, then I would like them to see my logo and what I put in there.

(another question is why BING and GOOGLE haven't picked up on my updated site is another question).

BIO URL is here: https://secure.smugmug.com/search/in...global&x=0&y=0
(search for titaniumphoto from the main smugmug site: https://secure.smugmug.com/login.mg?...isitor-help%2F

For the BOI picture however, why doesn't smugmug fit the picture to the size of the box? I have tried several sizes (very small infact) and smugmug keeps enlarging that logo to bleed through the dimensions.

Any ideas? I am just concerned on the BIO page.

Thanks for the tedious help if anyone out there can help me...

Sincerely
Todd

It is unclear to me what page you are asking what question about. I see the link to your My Info page, but I don't understand what question you have about that page.

The other two links you included are not links to anything on your site so I''m not sure what they are for.

What is the link to your bio page? I see the question about the bio picture size, but don't know what page it's on and don't know whether you're also trying to ask any other question. Please clarify what page and what question.

Good question

The BIO page is hidden but does show up when one searches in smugmug (in the search box) here:

http://www.smugmug.com/

In the search box in the upper right hand corner (in the header), type in "titaniumphoto" then my BIO shows with the remaining of my pictures.

That is the BIO I was referring too....

Not sure if that helps.

And why would my BIO show up there since it is hidden on my site?

The screenshot you tried didn't work because you tried to link to an image on your hard disk. You can either upload it to a smugmug gallery and then link to it there or use the attachment feature below the editor here in dgrin.

When you set a bio photo, you're telling Smugmug that this is an image that can be used to represent your site. When someone searches for your sitename and it finds your site, Smugmug is just using your bio photo as a square thumbnail to represent that search result. If you want a different image to show there, use a different bio image.

Sounds good. So what your saying is that the BIO photo "has" to be square? I want to use my logo but its not currently "square"

No, other places it's used it won't show as square. Smugmug is just choosing to show a square version in that particular place. Don't ask me to explain why.
